Tonight's word is SNAFU because that is the state of affairs we find ourselves in since our last show in 2009. Everything that could have gone wrong has gone to hell in a hand basket and we will be picking up where we left off discussing the survival of the health insurance expansion and unreformed monopoly protection bill and its better alternatives, the loss of Uncle Teddy's seat, Liberals refusing to use Orwellian Newspeak with a few new vocabulary words, the SCOTUS a.k.a. SCREWEDUS (H/T to Lizz Winstead) and their latest ruling which may very well be the death of the republic and much, much more!  The Fierce Urgency of NOT Now Show
Staggered by dual gubernatorial losses this week the stumbling stewards of selling out are considering putting off the bare bones carcass of what is left of INSURANCE "reform" in order to save jobs... their own jobs. The symbolic upside is that any Members of Congress not re-elected next year will have as much access to a so-called "public option" as the rest of us. Trigger, Buttercup, Silver, Mr. Ed, Seabiscuit, Barbaro, Opt-in, Opt-out, do the hokie-pokie and turn yourself about - Simon Says, we've been sold out.
President Fierce and the ENTIRE Democratic National Committee sat out the anti-gay marriage campaign in Maine without so much as an email sent out to defend the rights of the LGBT community and from all indications the LGBT community is more than happy to reciprocate in 2010. Grab a hold as we climb back Under The Bus with the rest of the "internet left fringe" as the What Promise 2009 Tour has been extended into 2010 as predicted.

'Best Of' Washington Whores Show
Having previously discussed the death of the so-called "public option" on September 5th, thanks to loopholes and clauses in every version which has a so-called "public option" that not only lets people keep their coverage they like it forces them to keep the coverage they don't like by barring Americans with "pre-existing coverage" from being eligible to have a so-called "choice" with this so-called "public option" because industry profit protection trumps party platform illusions brought to you by industry lobbyists and their investment in the 111th Congressional Democratic Caucus. For months we've talked about the Baucus Bill from the Senate Finance Committee and how it took what lobbyists wanted and doubled it - offering no such competition, no cost controls and nothing more than insurance slavery with penalties for non-compliance and starting last week we noted the shift from a hard-line stance from the Congressional Progressive & Tri Caucuses to begin warming up to selling out whether it's the Baucus Co-Op or a weakened so-called "public option" on a trigger with the help of President Obama who can give speeches for 'change' but not ultimatums. For years we've discussed the "No-ists" in the GOP who simply oppose anything that helps anyone who isn't a corporation and since President Obama's inauguration we've discussed the GOP's plan to tank the 44th president. Over the summer we discussed Teabaggers, Birthers, Deathers, Tenthers as well as their corporate front group masters and we've talked about the Right Wing Extremists on August 15th and how the fear of a black phallus in the White House has the doublethink effect of helping right wingers morph treason into patriotism. Therefore, as we wait for the next capitulation to the status quo and windfall profits at the expense of the American people, figuratively and literally, we will be observing the Jewish New Year and bringing you a 'Best Of' show from the week we discussed the real enemy of change, Senate Democrats, as we re-air our Washington Whores Show from July 11th where all of us would have preferred to have been pessimistic and wrong instead of clairvoyant via precedent and dead-on-balls accurate. This week's panelists are Gayle, Jeanne, Ryan and Will with maybe a few surprise drop-ins.
